2. Cut one cane in
half and serve for steps 4 and 5.
3. Cut remaining 1 1/2
Churn Dash cones into 1/16" thick slices. Press
slices firmly while placing tightly against each
other along top of can to form two rows. Place
another row 2/3 down from top. Save some slices for
handle (step 6).
4. Cut cane saved from
step two in half again. Save the other half for step
5. Place cane on a sheet of oven parchrnent. Using
brayer to roll out cane, turn cane constantly so that
each side is reduced evenly to 1/2. Cut thinner
slices with knife and place firmly over second row in
a diamond pattern as shown.
5. Reduce the
remaining portion of cane in same manner as in step 4
until cane is 1/2 square. Cut thin slices with knife
end place pieces below third row so one corner is up
and just touches the bottom of the row above where
the two larger squares meet.
6. Cover outside of
handle with larger canes left over from step 3
pressing firmly and placing tightly against each
other.
7. Place watering can
on cookie sheet lined with oven parchment and bake in
oven preheated to 265 degrees F (I 30 degrees C) for
35-45 minutes. Carefully remove from over and allow
to completely cool. If slices did not stick to
watering can during baking, attach with Friendly
Plastic Arts & Crafts Goop . Allow 24 hours for
complete curing.

Square by warming between the palms of your nands for
a few minutes.
2. Cut cane into thin
slices with knife. Arrange slices along top of flower
pot according to photograph, being sure to place
slices tightly against each other.
3. Repeat steps one
and two for Blockeyed Susan and Sierra Patchwork
cones and remaining two flower pots.
4. Place all three
pots on a cookie sheet lined vith oven parchment and
bake in oven preheated to 265 degrees F (I 30 degrees
C) for 35-45 minutes. Carefully remove from oven and
allow to completely cool. If slices did not stick to
pots during baking, attach with Friendly Plastic Arts
& Crafts Goop. Allow 24 hours for complete
curing.
